Mr. Santiago Camacho Román begins a family tradition (ANGEL CAMACHO) in Morón de la Frontera (Seville) with the marketing of olive oils.

Creation of FRAGATA, a brand that today is marketed in over 90 countries.


1927

Mr. Ángel Camacho Alarcón, son of the founder, takes over the company, expanding its business with the selection, processing and marketing of table olives. Export also begins.

1968

FRAGATA launches the first table olives packaged in glass jars.

1985

FRAGATA opts for the exploitation of its own olive groves, thus guaranteeing the high quality of its table olives.


2000

FRAGATA presents an innovative range of stuffed olives in attractive lithographed “easy-open” tins.

2005

ANGEL CAMACHO and FRAGATA obtain the ISO 14001-2004 (BVQi) certification, an example of the company’s commitment to sustainable production, making it the first olive supplier in the world with a certified environmental programme.

2010

10,000 consumers representative of the Spanish population choose FRAGATA SNACK PACK as PRODUCT OF THE YEAR 2010.

2012 – 2021

FRAGATA becomes the official sponsor of THE VUELTA A ESPAÑA, sharing values such as sport and healthy foods.

2014

The water footprint of FRAGATA olives is calculated.

FRAGATA joins “Andaluces compartiendo”, an initiative promoted by the Cajasol y Landaluz Foundation, to help the most disadvantaged Andalusian families.

2016

FRAGATA presents its new image and renewed range, constantly innovating in the flavour of its products, in order to satisfy the tastes and lifestyles of costumers.



2019

FRAGATA presents achovy stuffed olives “WITHOUT flavour enhancers”.

2023

FRAGATA launches its slicedgreen and black olives in an attractive pack of 3 cans, ideal for single use.


2024

FRAGATA launches the Edition 1925 range with a clear and simple message: “We have been providing flavour for 100 years”.
